Alberton Church's Mission Projects

Throughout the years the Alberton Congregation has been a generous supporter of Presbyterians Sharing - the denominational missions program of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Presbyterians Sharing is a fund that sustains the work of the Presbyterian Church both in Canada and around the world.

We are always eager to help people understand how their contributions to Presbyterian Sharing help to sustain the work of ministry. The theme for 2009 is "We are in this together." The graphic displayed at the left serves as a link to additional information about Presbyterians Sharing.

In addition to its annual support of Presbyterians Sharing, the Alberton congregation also makes regular contributions to "Neighbour to Neighbour"- a Hamilton based food bank program.

From time to time the Alberton congregation also launches special mission projects. It is currently sharing with three other local Presbyterian congregations to raise funds to rebuild a Christian Church in a small community in Guatemala. Two members of the Alberton Congregation actually traveled to Guatemala during the summer of 2008 in order to participate directly in the rebuilding program.
